Does Czechia opt into EU Inc?

· informational

Czechia is at the table in the Council’s Company Law Working Party but has not shown its hand: its contribution to the compiled member-state comments of June 2026 states that internal discussions are “still ongoing” and that Prague will submit substantive comments at a later stage (Council working document WK 9143/2026). At ecosystem level, Czech Founders appears among the supporters of the eu-inc.org campaign. The regulation is not adopted; the Council decides by qualified majority.

The default domestic vehicle is the s.r.o. (společnost s ručením omezeným), the Czech limited-liability workhorse and a close cousin of the German GmbH — see EU Inc vs GmbH for how the 28th regime stacks up against that family, and the tracker for the live legislative state.
