Does Slovenia opt into EU Inc?
The Slovenian government has not published a position. The clearest domestic signal comes from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS), which in July 2026 issued conditional support — EU Inc “must become a European fast track for growth, not a new maze of rules” — urging that the form stay simple, open to all companies and light on administrative burden, and transmitted that position to the Ministry of the Economy. A chamber’s view does not bind the state: the regulation is not adopted, and Slovenia decides in Council by qualified majority.
The default domestic vehicle is the d.o.o. (družba z omejeno odgovornostjo), the standard limited-liability form for Slovenian startups.
